A beautiful thing...

Admittedly, it's been quite some time since the last post.  Not for lack of desire, but more a floundering feeling of uncertainty of what to write about since we're not yet living the urban life. But then I re-read the purpose I stated at the creation of this blog and I figured that I needed to better document the journey...

Since things are not moving along quite as we had hoped,  we're not yet at our financial goals to move to the city.  At times it's been disappointing but it's also given us the chance to really rejoice in the small things, the beautiful things we come across day to day.

Like today.  

Today I walked outside and immediately caught the scent of some sweet smelling flowers.  I couldn't spot where they were growing - but truth be told, spring is in the air!! And on the drive back from the library today Jason and I noticed there were no lingering vestiges of the winter snows to be seen.  The last week of 60 degree weather finally put an end to the slushy remains along sidewalks and medians. 

The picture above is of a tree I liked, barren but awaiting the return of spring foliage. Seems like it won't be too long!
